Women's Tennis
The Women's Tennis Association, formed in 1973, is the principal organizing body of women's professional tennis. It organizes the WTA Tour, the worldwide professional tennis tour for women, which has for sponsorship reasons been known since 2005 as The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. Its counterpart organization in the men's professional game is the ATP.
The Women's Tennis Association can trace its origins back to Houston, Texas when the inaugural Virginia Slims event was won on 23 September 1970. Billie Jean King was a major figure in the early days of the WTA.
Tournament categories
The WTA divides the main women's tournaments into several tiers:
- Grand Slam Events (4)
- Season-ending championships (Sony Ericsson Championships): with Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000) prize money.
- Tier tournaments:
- Tier I(minimum prize money of $1,340,000): There are nine (9) Tier I Tournaments.
- Tier II (minimum prize money of $600,000): There are fourteen (14) Tier II Tournaments.
- Tier III(minimum prize money of $175,000): There are eighteen (18) Tournaments in this Tier.
- Tier IV (minimum prize money of $145,000): There are thirteen (13) Tournaments in this Tier.
Ranking points are also available at certain International Tennis Federation (ITF) events below Tier IV (see next section) as well as the Olympics.

Fixed Odds
Like other similar types of contests, you may wager on a player to win a tournament at fixed odds. Tournament wagers are considered "All-In." In the event of the player not playing in the tournament wagers on the player will be deemed losers, unless otherwise specified.
When the following circumstances take place all wagers will stand:
- A change of playing surface
- A change of venue
- A change from indoor court to outdoor court or vice versa
Where a market is offered which relates to the number of occurrences of certain events (e.g. the number of aces) within a tournament and the tournament is postponed or cancelled, or the length of the tournament is reduced, any wager on such a market shall be void.
Matches are graded when the event goes final and is deemed official.
Match Ups
Both players must complete one set for wagers on the match to stand. Should one set not be completed all wagers are void on that match. After one set is completed who ever progresses to the next round will be deemed the winner.
In the event being started but not completed irrespective of the amount of sets all wagers on correct score set wagering shall be deemed void.
