German Soccer Odds - Live Odds

The Bundesliga is the highest category of Germany's football league. The term Bundesliga also applies to football in Austria and is used to refer to the highest level league competitions in several other sports in those two countries.

The Bundesliga is financially strong, and the 2. Bundesliga has begun to evolve in a similar direction, becoming more stable organisationally and fiscally, and reflecting an increasingly higher standard of professional level play.

German Bundesliga Game

Internationally, the most well-known German clubs include Bayern Munich, Hamburger SV, Borussia Dortmund, FC Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen. Hamburger SV can lay claim to being the only club that has played continuously in the Bundesliga since its foundation.

Presently, at the end of the season, the bottom three teams of the Bundesliga are relegated to the 2. Bundesliga, and the top three finishers of the 2. Bundesliga are promoted to the top flight, where they will compete in the next season.

The season starts in early August and lasts until late May, with a winter break of six weeks (mid-December through to the end of January). In recent years, games have been played on Saturdays (seven games beginning at 3:30 PM) and Sundays (two games beginning at 5:00 PM). A new television deal in 2006 re-introduced a Friday game (beginning at 8:30 PM) in place of one of the Saturday matches.

The German football champion is decided strictly by play in the Bundesliga. Each club plays every other club once at home and once away. Originally, a victory was worth 2 points, with a draw worth 1 point and a loss no points. Since the 1995/96 season, a victory has been worth 3 points, with no change in the value of a draw or loss. The club with the most points at the end of the season becomes the German champion. Currently, the top two clubs in the table qualify automatically for the group phase of the UEFA Champions League, while the third-place team enters the Champions League at the third qualifying round (see overview). The three teams at the bottom of the table are relegated into the 2nd Bundesliga, while the top three teams in the 2nd Bundesliga are promoted.

In total, 43 clubs have won the German championship. FC Bayern Munich have 21 titles, more than any other club. The clubs with the next most titles are BFC Dynamo Berlin (10; all accomplished in the GDR Oberliga) and 1. FC Nuremberg (9).

The clubs with the most Bundesliga titles besides FC Bayern (20 titles) are Borussia Mönchengladbach (5) and Werder Bremen (4).

How the German Soccer Odds work?

The german Bundesliga soccer odds are displaying in the same current formats like others sports and follows the same betting rules. Two most common odds used in italian soccer betting are: Moneyline or Win Price and Moneyline involving tie.

A simple moneyline (also involving tie) example of german soccer odds could be the next:

TeamLine
Bayern Munich-190
Shalke 04+230
Draw+200

For sports betting purpuses, this odds mean:

When you bet on Bayern Munich FC for win, you will need to wager $190 for to win only $100.

When you bet $100 on Shalke 04 for win, you'll win $230.

When you bet $100 for a draw. You will win $200 if the game ends tied.

The favorite team for win the game, appears with a negative moneyline and if you bet on it, the winnings are less than if you bet on the other team.

Soccer Wagering Information

Pointspread:

The Pointspread - also called the line, or spread - is used as a margin to handicap the favorite team. The oddsmaker or handicapper "gives" points (or goals) to the underdog. The bettor must take either the favorite or the underdog. The favorite is always indicated by a minus sign (e.g. -7.0) and the underdog by a plus sign (e.g.+7.0). The betting outcome of the game is determined by taking the actual game score and finding the point (or goal) difference between each of the two teams playing. If the spread is offered with a half-point (e.g. -1.0 for the favorite Bayern Munich) by the handicappers, then there can be no "push" and therefore you will either win or lose the bet.

Moneylines:

The moneylines odds are used in all four of the major sports, but is the standard wager for betting on Baseball and Hockey. Moneyline wagering is simply wagering on the contest based on a given price rather than a pointspread. The team wagered on simply has to win the game for the player to win their bet.

Parlays:

A parlay is a bet in which you select 2 to 8 teams or totals. All selections must win or tie in order to win the wager. If any of the selections lose, your wager loses, regardless of the outcome or cancellation of the other games. If one or more selections is a tie, postponed, incomplete, cancelled or rescheduled for another day, then the wager reverts to the next lowest number. Calcule your winnings in our Parlay Calculator.

Teasers:

A teaser allows the bettor to combine his bets on two or more different games. The bettor can adjust the point spreads for the two games, but realizes a lower return on the bets in the event of a win. Calcule your winnings in our Teaser Calculator.
