New England Patriots took down Miami Dolphins down after a 17-0 trail at half time that could have been the trigger of an awful defeat for the Pats and an awesome victory for the beach boys. With a surprising turn of events, the guys from New England made a rushing charge that left the scores 27-24 at their favor once more. Whatever Patriots coach Bell Belichick said during the halftime in the locker room; made the impact necessary to push the lead and the tight winning score.
This coming Sunday, New England will face one of their haunting ghost from the past; the Buffalo Bills. After the show made by the Patriots against the Dolphins; many believe that the Pats are not in the shape to face this difficult rival because they where 14-2 last year when lose against New York, and this year seems to be traveling on the same route. However, the chance for the New England to mend the upset made during week 3 by the Bills couldn't be a more appropriate way to finish the season.
This blood in the eye tells us that this game will be full of exciting plays. Because is not only one team trying to payback the insult, but also secure their position as the number one, and claim the title of the AFC championship over the Buffalo Bills which has never won a game at the Gillette Stadium.
Things aren't going to be easy for New England, even with prominent leadership of Tom Brady, who is about to reach and maybe surpass the passing yards record of 5000, and the advantage of playing at home aren't going to break the Buffalo's will to repeat what they did in week 3 to claim the title for themselves; especially if they can take advantage of New England's poor defense. Which has been ran over by 412.1 yards by game.
Even with all the weakness found on New England, we can't deny that the Patriots had a good season and they will keep the No.1 seed in the AFC a second consecutive season with either by winning, or losses by the Ravens or the Steelers. Things that may help the Pats to win: Injuries have affected both teams, but the New York has taken the worst part on this deal, with sixteen of his players on IR, but most notably running back Fred Jackson who got a fracture on his fibula during week 11 at Miami. It may souds cheap but everything counts to win. Also, Buffalo Bills are 0-9 all time losers at Gillette Stadium and have 10 straight road games lost against the Patriots since Nov 5.2000. All these under the coaching eye of Belichick.
Many conditions may affect this game, and there are plenty of motivations to have some payback time on Buffalo. Now only the expectative if left, which of these teams will remain standing with the AFC trophy? Find out on Sunday January 1st, so don't you dare to miss it!
