Cleveland Crisis at the NBA Playoffs by HHA

The spotlight is focused on Lebron and the Cavaliers, but not for the right reasons this time. Not only couldn't Lebron lift his team, or get his teammates in the mood, but they have also received the worst playoff defeat in the history of the franchise. This happened on Cleveland's own court, losing home advantage and putting them on verge of elimination. Could we think of a worse scenario for the King and the Cavs? We really can't put all the blame on the King, but if you think about it he has been calling himself the Leader of the Cavs more than once, and he is the MVP of the regular season, so maybe he should act as everybody expects him to and carry the Cavaliers to victory.

It is true that the Celtics are a strong defensive team, but more important than that is that they have shown the heart of a champion and they are playing like they should, with the Finals in their mind. It's not only that the big three are healthy and playing good basketball, but the players around them are so focused and determined that they begin to shine with their own talent, like Rajon Rondo, who has become the main force behind the Celtics and the best player in the series so far.

The title of Leader and MVP comes with great responsibility; Lebron should play every night with the look of a champion in his eyes. Not only has James had a poor performance in game 5, but in the series against the Celtics he has been erratic and this shows a lack of identity for the Cavaliers in the right moments. The Celtics have exploited the weakness of the Cavaliers and the 3 veterans are showing all the playoff knowledge they have. Paul Pierce is not having a good series against the Cavs, but his attitude puts his teammates on the right direction; he plays aggressive and creates good opportunities for the rest of the team.

Could this be the prelude of another disappointing exit in the playoff for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and maybe the last time King James steps on the Quicken Loans Arena with this team? Game 6 is just around the corner, and Lebron should play as the MVP he is to get the series back to Cleveland for the a 7th game, if he and his teammates still plan to get to the finals. But he needs to make not only an outstanding performance and use up all the ammunition he has, but also get the entire team to play like a true contender. The Orlando Magic is waiting for the winner of this series in the Eastern Finals.
