New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (Patriots -7)

For this game the spread is Patriots -7. The Patriots come to this game with a record of 8-5 (5-7-1 ATS) and the Buffalo Bills with 5-8 (7-6 ATS). The Patriots have never found a big resistance in Buffalo in previous games and this season's worst defense now has to face the fierce attack of New England's offensive, the second in the League. In the past the Patriots beat the Bengals twice a year just for fun, but this time the motivation comes from other events, like winning just 1 of their last 3 games, and in their last meeting at the beginning of the season the underdog Bills almost grasped a win trying to reclaim a little of respect from their long punishers in the division, but 2 touchdowns at almost the end and 1 turn over was enough to save the game for the Patriots. But this has not been forgotten; these 2 conditions make this game a MUST win for the Bills.

Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers (Vikings -9)

The Minnesota Vikings 11-2 (8-4-1 ATS) face the Carolina Panthers 5-8 (6-7). The Vikings have lost the 2 games they had on the road this year (against Pittsburgh and Arizona), and it is likely that this is going to happen again with Panthers, despite their poor record this season. The Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme's tendency to throw passes to interceptions more often than not lead to game losses in the 3 games at the beginning of the season, yet they managed to overcome their odds and win 3 of 4 of the next games. Then they had a relapse, losing 3 of the next 4. They have been playing a lot better nowadays; their bench quarterback Matt Moore is fitting that position very well while Delhomme is injured and avoiding making more mistakes.

The Minnesota losses have always come in between big wins and on the road. Last week they beat the Bengals (30-10) just after a loss with the Cardinals. It's likely that the Panthers could get away with the win, or come too close. Make use of those points in the spread this time.
